What is Personal Training?

Personal training takes the guess work out of working out!  Our certified fitness professionals are committed to helping you meet your goals, use the proper equipment, weights, and form, as well as nutrition choices and planning.

Our certified fitness professionals are all certified and insured.  Their certifications, education, and memberships are updated every 1-2 years, as required by each organization.


How Do I Get Started?  Free Consultation!

Your FIRST STEP begins with a complimentary assessment and consultation with one of our certified fitness professionals.  A thorough assessment of your goals, desires, strengths, and weaknesses is vital to a successful customized program. Your consultation includes an in depth body composition analysis that will include circumference measurements, body fat composition, as well as your current weight.   Your consultation will include suggestions to make your new commitment fit in your busy lifestyle, at home, in the workplace and even social settings.


What Can I Expect From My Personal Training Experience?

Our programs are customized to fit the lifestyle and goals of each of our clients.  We offer a variety of fitness tools that will keep your workout fresh and effective.

Your workout routine will be designed, overseen, and progressed by one of our NATIONALLY certified fitness professionals and it will incorporate all necessary components to ensure your success!

  • Your first workout will begin with the assessment details from your initial consultation, and marking your BEFORE progress with a picture (recommended). It will also include our unrivaled Nutrition Intervention. If nutrition and/or meal planning is part of your customized training program, your trainer will arrange to meet you at your favorite grocery store and help you make healthier food choices.

  • At the end of each month, your fitness professional will REVIEW YOUR PROGRESS with you (body weight, body fat loss, muscle tone, measurements, and a "DURING picture (recommended) to mark your each month’s progress.

  • You will also have your VERY OWN NUTRITION PLAN that will be created specifically for you. Your fitness professional will be sure to incorporate YOUR FAVORITE FOODS as well as keeping in mind your lifestyle so as to suit the plan to your schedule, regardless of how busy you are. You will be able to eat the foods that you love and still reach your goals!

  • Your workout routine will take place RIGHT IN THE COMFORT OF YOUR OWN HOME and all necessary equipment will be provided for you!

Many of our clients (individuals, couples, and seniors) are pleased to share their experience and success by offering their before and after photos for use on our website and in our newsletters.  Your fitness professional will share these with you at your consultation and provide local referrals upon your request.

Our programs are based on the science of how the human body works. So, regardless of what your goal is, a program can be created just for you! It’s important to understand that all workout routines are not created equal.

It all starts with our FREE CONSULTATION AND ASSESSMENT where we’ll evaluate your individual strengths and weaknesses so you can have a CLEARLY DEFINED GOAL. Your program will be catered to your lifestyle and while some change will be necessary, you will not have to make a complete 180. Our goal is to help you to be successful!

To do this, we focus on several components that are vital to your success:

Nutrition Intervention

 

Nutrition is the backbone to any successful fitness program. We ’ll ensure that you get the right amount of calories for your goal and create a nutrition plan based on your likes and dislikes as well as your lifestyle. All variables will be taken into account and you won’t have to worry about counting calories, as our program will do it for you!  We believe that it’s also important to teach you how to eat rather than what to eat. Our approach is centered on client education so when you reach your goal you know how to keep the weight off!

At the beginning of your program, your fitness professional will introduce you to our NUTRITION INTERVENTION. Understanding the role of calories, fat, carbs, protein, fiber, and other nutritional components of what we eat, has a significant impact on your ability to meet your daily and overall goals. We take "personalized" fitness and nutrition training very seriously. Therefore, we will gladly meet you at your favorite grocery store to offer guidance in understanding nutrition labels and making healthier food choices.



Cardiovascular Exercise (cardio)
Ever find yourself wondering how many minutes of cardio to do?
Which machine you should use?
How many days a week should you do cardio?
Why you sweat so much and never lose weight?

DON’T WORRY THE ANSWERS ARE HERE! As with every other aspect of your program we will guide and educate to the plan that is best and most efficient for you. Cardio is a great way to burn fat from your body or to keep fat off your body to maintain your lean toned look! It’s also great for our cardiovascular and respiratory systems. So not only will you look great but feel great too!


Strength Training
Resistance training is a great way to burn more calories, increase your metabolism, tone and firm all over and improve your daily living. We focus on a program that will allow you to reach your goals. Total body resistance training is a vital part of all programs, not just those looking to build muscle and mass. Programs are designed for our clients looking to lean and tone so as not to increase bulk but to improve shape! Resistance training is also what will allow us to keep the pounds off once you’ve reached your goal!

Core Training and Flexibility
This is one of the most important parts of any program! Unfortunately, it’s also the most neglected part. Flexibility is vital for successful aging as well as proper muscular function and development. Core training is crucial for proper posture, lower back and abdominal strength, as well as getting those ever elusive six-pack abs. Core training will allow for the safe and effective progression of your program through a dynamic range of exercises for your mid section. It’s not just about sit-ups anymore!

In this program we will create a custom nutrition plan for you along with several follow up appointments to monitor and direct your progress. Great for the individual that struggles with what they should eat! For our Nutrition Only clients, we highly recommend our Nutrition Intervention service.
     
 

Fit-For-Two Training

Fit-For-Two personal training is a convenient, cost-saving, and highly effective choice for our clients who like to work out with a friend, family member, or significant other. Your fitness professional will keep you and your workout partner challenged while the two of you help to keep each other motivated.
